Rivers, Rills and Sunlight
July 10th - 21st, 2006
This drawing and painting class was intended for students who had a strong interest in developing their artistic talent and/or may have been considering applying to art school. In the birthplace of Pennsylvania Impressionism - the former home of artist William Lathrop - students studied basic composition, color mixing, texture and perspective to prepare them for working directly from nature. Students worked en plein air along the Delaware canal. Drawing was a strong focus. The course was designed to encourage experimentation, personal discovery and development of a visual language
.
