An Evening with Freeman's; America's oldest Auction House
Join us for a fun evening of Fine Art, Antiques, and a test of your appraisal skills hosted by Freeman's Auction of Philadelphia, Lathrop Circle Members.
Freeman's annual December Fine Art Auction has become known as the premier event for Collectors of Pennsylavania Impressionist, and other artists of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, from the leading lights to the lesser knowns. Alasdair Nichol, the company's Senior Vice President, specialist in fine art and regular appaiser on the PBS's popular Antiques Roadshow, will assemble an exhibition of Highlights from the December 2007 Fine Art Auction and will be available to discuss the paintings on view (which include works by RAD Miller, whose father in law sold the Mill to W.L.Lathrop).
Other Freeman's specialists will be at the event to assist with a game of "what is it worth?" Guests will be invited to turn the tables on the appraisers, placing their own estimated values on items from upcoming presentation by the specialists (and the grade on your worksheet) will help you to find out!
This event is free for Mill Members and open to the public for $45.00 per couple. Guests will receive a complimentary catalogue of Freeman's December American & Europeans Paintings and Sculpture Auction ($35.00 value) and drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
