Writers Block: An Absurd Comedy with Lofty Ambitions

World Premier

The Drama Committee of Phillips’ Mill is thrilled to announce the first staged production of Emmy award-winning playwright Chris Canaan’s “Writers Block: An Absurd Comedy with Lofty Ambitions.”

“Writers Block: An Absurd Comedy with Lofty Ambitions” is a madcap romp through the quirky but tortured mind of a writer who is plagued by the specter that deep down he is shallow. His inability to resolve his play – or his life – twist, turn, crash and burn until he literally becomes a prisoner of his own dysfunctional imagination. With the help of his wife and muse he realizes the only true resolution comes from the heart, and not the mind.
