ArtTalk - A Photographic View of Phillips’ Mill
Photography has come a long way in just 200 years. The camera developed from a plain box that took blurry photos to the high-tech mini computers found in today's smartphones. With the ability to take a picture literally at our fingertips what makes an image fine art, rather than just Instagram worthy?
The line between fine art and a regular photo has been blurred. So what makes photography art? How is the photographer an artist? Spencer Saunders started the Phillips’ Mill Photographic Exhibition in 1992 to make a stand for photography as a fine art. Through the years the exhibit has grown and is now the premier annual juried photography exhibition in Bucks County.
Join us on April 11th when our host Laura Womack will talk with Spencer Saunders and Donna Lovely, members of the 2021 Phillips’ Mill Photography Committee. They will share the exhibit and share their perspective of photography as an artform.
Registration required. Please RSVP by Sunday, April 11th by 4pm to receive your link to the discussion.
