Phillips’ Mill Lathrop Circle Members Gather on Historic Holicong Estate

Each year, the Phillips’ Mill Community Association’s Board of Directors hosts a party in appreciation of the Lathrop Circle’s additional support of the many art, drama, photography, educational and social programs that help make Phillips’ Mill such a vital part of the larger community. Approximately 70 Lathrop Circle and business members of the Mill attended.

This year’s event was held September 18, 2022, on a perfect late-summer Sunday afternoon at the graceful 1835 home and expansive property of JoAnn and Ridge Goodwin. The Goodwins kindly explained the long history of the property, with its sweeping views of the Bucks County landscape. Another highlight of the event was the guided tour they gave of their extensive gardens, which feature rare conifers –– many planted when they moved there some 40 years ago –– and a delightful collection of sculptures.

Guests mingled and enjoyed a selection of fine wines and a wonderful array of hors d’oeuvres while Barry Middleburg played lively songs on his guitar. It was truly an afternoon to remember.

All are welcome to become members of the Phillips’ Mill Community Association. Several levels of membership are offered. For more information, please visit the Mill’s website at www.phillipsmill.org or send an email to Membership@phillipsmill.org.
